How To Renew Spouse Visa UK
The requirements for a spouse visa renewal or extension are strict. You will need to prove that your relationship is genuine and subsisting and that it is a legally recognised marriage or civil partnership.In renewing a UK spouse visa, you will also have to provide evidence that you have been living with your husband or wife or civil partner during the time you have spent in the UK so far. In addition, you will need to confirm that you intend to continue to do so.Financial requirements for renewing UK spouse visaWhen renewing a UK Spouse Visa, you and your partner must continue to meet the minimum financial requirements. The required income level for renewals may differ from that of new applicants.
If you are also supporting children who are not British or Irish citizens, or who do not have settled or pre-settled status, you will need to demonstrate additional income to meet the financial requirement.
Income that can be used towards the required total includes:Income from your UK job as shown on your payslips or P60
UK self-employment income, as accounted for on your Self Assessment tax return
Money from a pension
Income from other sources such as property rental income or share dividend income
Payslips for the previous six months
Bank statements
A letter from your employer (or your spouse’s employer)
